In almost every deal, technology decides something - a risk, an opportunity, often both. Workbench Advisory helps buyers, investors and companies see what the technology is really worth, judge it soundly, and make more of it.
Hands-on. No detours.

We run technical due diligence ourselves - for buyers, investors and private equity firms who want to know what's actually under the hood.
Not a checklist exercise. We work through the architecture, the codebase, system stability, scalability and technical debt, then turn what we find into plain answers you can act on. What shape is it really in? What would modernising it cost? Where is the genuine upside?
You come away with a clear-eyed view of the technology - solid enough to price on and to negotiate on.
Technological value rarely builds itself. It has to be found, developed and put to work on purpose. We help companies in both directions: heading into a sale, when the job is to show the technical strengths and deal with the weak spots. And after signing, when potential has to become results.
Infrastructure, software architecture, AI, digital processes - we stay until the change holds. As a strategic sparring partner, as an interim technical lead, or as the team that delivers it. Whatever the situation needs.
On the sell side, one thing is certain: technical due diligence is coming, and it comes with hard questions. Go in unprepared and you lose time, trust and - in the worst case - valuation.
We get CTOs, engineering teams and management ready. Working from the AWS Well-Architected Framework, we take stock together, find the weak points that matter and build an honest picture that holds up once the buyer starts digging.
No spin. Just proper preparation.
Approach
We call ourselves Workbench Advisory because we actually work at the bench - not from above, and not with off-the-shelf frameworks meant to fit every company.
Every engagement starts with understanding: the technology, the business, the people behind it. Assessment, recommendations and action come after that, not before.
The work we take on is usually close enough to be personal and layered enough to demand real experience. That's exactly where we do our best work.
Workbench Advisory works hand in hand with Goodpoint Fellows - a Berlin-based M&A and value-creation advisory for technology-driven mid-market companies.
Together, transaction expertise and technical depth come from one place. Goodpoint brings the M&A structure, the network and the process. We bring the technical judgement.
For the deals that need both - which is most of them.
